Washington DC [US], May 22 (ANI): Britney Spears' March arrest has come back into focus after a newly released police report shared more details about the incident.
According to the report and videos obtained by PEOPLE, the pop star was pulled over on March 4 in Ventura County, California, for driving under the influence. During the stop, officers said Spears spoke 'nonsensically' and appeared to have 'drastic mood swings.'
Spears told officers that she had only had one mimosa around six hours earlier. She also said her level of intoxication was a 'zero' out of 10.
At one point, Spears offered to make food for the officers at her home.
'You can come to my house: I'll make you food or lasagna or whatever you want,' she told officers in a video. 'I have a pool.'
The report said Spears took two breathalyzer tests and recorded .05 and .06, both below California's legal limit of .08. However, a drug recognition evaluation found that she was 'under the influence of a CNS stimulant.'
A bottle of Adderall that was not prescribed to Spears was also found in her purse, according to the report. Spears told officers she had taken 200 mg of Lamictal and said she used Adderall to stay 'elevated.'
The report also claimed that Spears spoke at times with a British accent and that her mood changed during the arrest.
'I could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you. I'm an angel,' Spears told officers.
Spears later cried in the back of the patrol car after being handcuffed and accused officers of being 'mean to me' and 'lying,' according to the New York Times.
Spears pleaded guilty to a wet reckless on May 4. She was sentenced to 12 months of summary probation and one day in jail, which was counted as time served. She was also fined $571 and must attend a three-month DUI program, PEOPLE said. (ANI)
